what a whirlwind week.....and there is still a day left. just trying to get use to some adjustments that have been occurring at the work place, but it just is not going as smoothly as anyone would have liked. that, on top of deadlines and excuses from others, has made for a CrAzY week. in general, i'm pretty tired these days, but i just continue to veg out instead of hitting the sac when i should. that of course has contributed to the work week exhaustion. in short---i should just go to bed NOW.
well, i've been really busy at work here lately, and i have been on my feet a lot more, running errand and working here and there and everywhere. being on your feet can just make you tired for no good reason at all, especially when the floor you are walking on is not really the carpeted Hilton and all. anyway, i feel really good about my progress, but i just wish my body felt the same about it all. the tops of my feet are a little achey recently, and i think i should invest in some more comfortable shes that can somehow help support my feet, yet not make me look like a granny. i hate those ortho shoes that some folks wear to work. i hear that crocs are comfy, so i might invest in a pair of those, but we shall see. regardless, i am happy with the work situation for now, which is at times a rarity, so a little ache in my foot is not too big of a deal.
so with some new arrangements being made at work, i am now officially surrounded by debbie downers. (if you have no clue what that term means, the video above shall explain it). hopefully i will learn to block them out, but with cubes and desks and communal office supplies, my contact will be high. stupid. it just really brings me down too, which is the major bad part. i mean, if you want to gripe or complain, that is fine, but when you try to make it involve me, it get annoying. i'd prefer to come and do what i have to do and go home when i get to go home, all without your sapping of enthusiasm. so, yeah, we'll see how long this continues.
Show us why you get up in the morning.

yeah-------gotta have money-------because food and shelter are a good thing. so, i get up and go to work to get money
i am completely annoyed by the lack of motivation from folks at work. seriously, is laziness the new pre-req to work here? i am just confused at how the folks that have less to do outside of work do the least inside of work. why is the young, single, wealthy chick the one that is always late to meetings? seriously, what were you busy doing???? i know it is not taking care of the kids...worrying about the house payment....making breakfast for your hubby.....whatever- just choose something- she was not busy doing any of that. she was most likely late because her mani/pedi ran over. and why not just call and let us all know that you are going to be late, so that perhaps we can just start without you? oh yeah, i forgot.....your nails might get messed up!
i find it absurd that 90% of the work load falls to 10% of us. you always hear that saying, but you always hope that it is not true. sadly, it is exact. i am tempted to stop doing all the crap that i do. what the hell will everyone do then? perhaps just carry on, business as usual. they are too stuck in the clouds to even notice that things are not functioning properly. if i have to read one more e-mail of someone requesting for someone to do something, i am going to scream. my plate is full; go ask the guy who still lives with his parents (thus meaning he does not have to worry about rent). i am sure he might like for something to do on a weeknight rather than eat mommy's home cooking. and i am very curious to know why you think that it is professional and/or acceptable to talk during a meeting while the director is talking. are you in high school? tell me again how/why you got this job? why am i put in the same category as you? ugh!
stay tuned.....i'm sure more shit will soon hit the fan.
