What are your first thoughts upon waking?

do i have to get up????????
Do you support the gas tax holiday being pushed by Clinton and McCain?
YES. i think that it is a good opportunity for the US. it is definitely NOT a long term fix, but it will certainly remove some of the seasonal burden. we need to explore our long term options, however. check out drilling in alaska. that would certainly be a good idea to reduce our foreign oil dependence. also, stop putting so many gallons into our emergency oil reserves. this would free up more for current consumption.
alright, too much gas talk. in short---mc cain (who introduced the idea first) has a good thought going!
How many hours a week do you spend playing video games?
i do not participate in any game playing. i do, however, know many folks who spend 3-4 hours a day playing video games. my life is just more interesting than that. i have more things--better things i might add--- to occupy my time. reading is a good thing, making you more educationally sound. do video games do that? i am sure some dumb ass out there could think of some things that video games can/should/will teach you, but those are not the games folks play for 6 hours straight. i think anyone who spend more than 1 1/2 hours being absorbed in a video game (on-line or off) should be drug out in the street and shot. we would not lose too much of a pro-active, self-improving individual.
tune in later and i will tell you how i really feel :o)
How do you think having siblings (or not having siblings) affects who you are as a person?
siblings are a must. most people i know that are an only child are more self-absorbed than the rest of the "i have a sibling" world. not really their fault, just a result of never really having to share time/attention/things with another child. this is a good question to ponder.
What's your favorite thing to drink when it's cold outside?
hot chocolate or coffee that tastes like hot chocolate. i like holding the warm cup and sipping the warm liquid. i hate burning my tongue though!
What are some ways you save money?
Submitted by Pixiemom.
i try to refill my bottled water bottles, thus only buying one bottled water.
i take my lunch to work most days, although i really like to eat out.
i use tupperware instead of ziploc baggies.
the temperature at my home is a bit cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer. i just dress up or down, depending on what is needed.
not too many ways that i save, but i guess that these do add up.
What are your predictions for the World Series?
that i am not going to watch it.
When did you last write/receive a handwritten, snail-mail letter? Who was it to/from?
Submitted by Places Unknown.
I submitted this question quite a bit ago. I thought that it was bad and they decided that it did not make the cut. Perhaps that is still true, but they just got really desperate for a QotD. or, perhaps the line of decent ones was long.
OK, enough of that, on to my answer.....
I got an invitation that was handwritten (in the appropriate blanks). And that was about 2 weeks ago. I sent something for a grandparent's birthday that was handwritten. Sadly, I normally do e-cards or something, but I know they do not have e-mail or Internet, so that was not an option.
