If you found a hundred dollar bill today, what would you do with it?
completely BLOW it. just to help make myself feel better, for who doesn't t enjoy splurges on junk every now and then?
i've been doing a bit of shopping, and i am not really finding on the super deals that everyone (mainly the media) suggests is out there. i mean, sure things are on sale (up to 70% off in some places) but that does not make them affordable, unfortunately. i think i find better deals just randomly, not in the holiday season. anyone out there truly finding the "big sales" let me know so i can try and get them myself. even though i am almost completely done with the holiday shopping, there is always room for a few more purchases if they are at the right price and truly a good deal.
What’s a simple thing you could do to save money, but are unwilling (or unable) to put to practice?

never buying anything to drink--always drinking water.
i just like a crisp, cold coke every once and awhile. and when it is easier to buy a combo meal that includes a drink, that is what i do.

When you go out to eat, how do you pick where to go?

it mainly depends on two things:
1-what am i (and my party) wanting to eat
2-how much money can i spend on this meal
I Leased A Phone for 14 Years!
By Garapher in Texas
One day I actually looked at my phone bill and noticed a $4.34 charge for equipment. I didn't think much of it. After all, it was only $4.34. I figured it was just another "regulated" way for the phone company to get more money out of us.
After a few months, my curiosity got me so I called the phone company for an explaination. Turns out, I had been leasing a phone for 14 YEARS! When I asked them to take it off my bill, they were nice and said, "Sure, as soon as you return it." What? I don't even remember having the phone. They said they would have to charge me $85 for the phone if I couldn't return it.
I explained, "I've paid you $729.12 for a $20 phone, and now you want me to pay you $85 to stop charging me for it?" They did wave the non-return fee, but I paid $729.12 for a phone I don't even have.
Now I make sure that I read the bills and ask questions.i have had similar issues with my phone company. however, it was for my cell phone. they charged me overage minutes for phone calls to other phones on my plan! weasels. i do think, though, that it is a good idea to always look at your bills with a fine tooth comb. you never know how companies go about getting money out of you.
