there are a couple of folks that i encounter regularly that are "that person." you know "that person," she's the one that talks on and on about how skinny she is and how she does not ever have to work at being her beautiful self. she even popped out a baby and 20 minutes later she was perfect again......and letting everyone else know it. she acts all nonchalant about it, not really acting like she even notices and tries, yet every other word out of her mouth is how great things are with her body, pre and post baby. it's not the fact that she looks nice that drives me nuts. I am truly happy for her smooth weight loss. it is, however, very very very annoying that she parades herself around in clothes that are not the best choices and she tattoos her clothing size on her forehead so that everyone will know how "slim" she is. then, there is "that person" who likes to talk like she is the expert on EVERYTHING. if you have a hang-nail, she knows what to do about it. if you have a run in your pantyhose, she can tell you how to fix it. never mind that you did not ask her for advice, nor does he advice work. she is, however, going to give it to you. she is the one that can make all sorts of comments about how to change a diaper, discipline a kid, nurse a baby, and anything else of the sorts, yet she has never had a baby. these ladies seriously need to chill. people like that are sooooooo annoying. they are always trying to talk two decibels louder than everyone else for fear that they may not, for once, be the center of attention. all conversations should lead to them. and, if for some reason the conversation strays from her perfect non-exercise, eat what i want and lose fat weight loss plan, she will quickly bring it back there. get a life that is a little less absurd---seriously.
]]>i use to hate that term: vaycay....but now it has rubbed off on me. i would like to have a loooooooong vacation. ugh. not that i really need a break from work or anything of such, it would just be nice to have a relaxing time on the beach with some nice cold drinks! just to clear my head from some recent family mess, mainly. nothing truly involving me, but, when it is family, aren't you always involved in some sorts? blah.
so, come on sun, sand, and surf....................if only in my dreams!

This is National Headache Awareness Week. Show us what gives you a headache.
but at least if it gave me a headache, i could buy some aspirin.......along with about a zillion other things that are made in china.
i've been feeling a bit lucky lately.not go out and buy a lottery ticket lucky, but just "wow i am glad nothing shitty has happened in a bit" lucky. i guess that is all it takes! anyway, there has been some good news in the finance department which makes me really happy, so that goes into the lucky mix. i just hope there are some others out there who are able to feel a little bit of this joy as well, perhaps even getting the lucky vibe too! blessed might be a good synonym for some of these emotions.
now i know for as rarely as i have been blogging recently, that is not much of a poetic post, but it was what was on my mind, so there you go- i'm lucky.

Do you support the gas tax holiday being pushed by Clinton and McCain?
YES. i think that it is a good opportunity for the US. it is definitely NOT a long term fix, but it will certainly remove some of the seasonal burden. we need to explore our long term options, however. check out drilling in alaska. that would certainly be a good idea to reduce our foreign oil dependence. also, stop putting so many gallons into our emergency oil reserves. this would free up more for current consumption.
alright, too much gas talk. in short---mc cain (who introduced the idea first) has a good thought going!
